Gideon Twesigye Timarwa is a Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance professional with nearly 20 years of experience across internal audit, risk management, credit underwriting, information systems audit and fraud examination. He is certified as an Information Systems Auditor, Fraud Examiner, ISO 31000 Lead Risk Manager, and Professional Coach in Transformative Coaching.

Gideon began his career with Ernst & Young in IT risk advisory and later worked with KCB Bank Uganda and Standard Chartered Bank. He joined FINCA Uganda in 2017 as Head of Internal Audit, before taking on global assignments as FINCA Impact Finance Global Risk Manager for Eurasia & Africa and most recently serving as Division Audit Director at FINCA Impact Finance. His experience spans organizational strategy, team development, quality decision-making, and disciplined execution.

Gideon is passionate about mentoring and leadership development. He has facilitated trainings and served as a keynote speaker for professional bodies including the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Uganda, ISACA, and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU). He also contributed to the design and delivery of FINCA Uganda’s leadership training curriculum.

In his downtime, Gideon enjoys reading and playing the keyboard.
