Bringing over a decade of invaluable experience in Procurement, Cost Engineering, and Project Management, Francis Milton Turinawe currently leads transformational initiatives as the Head of Administration and Procurement at FINCA Uganda. His illustrious career has seen him make significant contributions to both the Banking and Construction sectors, leaving a lasting impact on organizations he has served.

At FINCA Uganda, Francis has spearheaded the automation of procurement processes, including asset management solutions, procure-to-pay systems, and budget tracking mechanisms, all aimed at promoting operational efficiency. His proactive approach to streamlining operations has resulted in enhanced productivity and cost savings for the organization. In addition to his procurement role, Francis also oversees the administration and facilities management functions of the organization, ensuring the smooth operation of its physical infrastructure and resources.

Prior to his role at FINCA, Francis served as a Project Engineer at Alistan Engineering, where he managed and supervised complex billion-dollar projects, consistently delivering them within budget and ahead of schedule. His proficiency in project management and cost control was a driving force behind his success.

Furthermore, Francis’s experience as a Quantity Surveyor and Site/Project Manager at Egy Trading and Engineering Projects Ltd equipped him with a unique skill set to oversee a wide range of construction projects. His ability to balance cost-effective solutions with high-quality outcomes ensured the successful completion of numerous endeavors.

Francis’s diverse background and expertise in procurement, project management, and compliance have proven instrumental in the growth and success of FINCA Uganda. His leadership in automating procurement processes has not only streamlined operations but also significantly reduced costs, contributing to the financial sustainability of the organization. His experience in project management ensures that projects are completed efficiently and within budget, adding value to the organization’s development initiatives.

Moreover, his role in administration and facilities management ensures that the physical infrastructure of FINCA Uganda operates smoothly, creating a conducive environment for business operations. By actively participating in management committees and providing consultancies and trainings, Francis has played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s internal controls, risk management, and compliance.
