Diana Cazacu is an experienced banking and microfinance executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. She has held senior executive positions including Chief Operating Officer, Deputy CEO, Chief Technology Officer, and Regional Technology Director for banking and microfinance institutions, leading large-scale transformations in operations, credit, risk management, digital financial services, technology, and organizational change.

Diana has extensive expertise in microfinance, SME and agricultural finance, digital transformation, technology and data strategy, risk management, and financial inclusion. Throughout her career, she has worked with commercial banks, microfinance institutions, impact investors, Fintechs, and Agritech companies, supporting the development of innovative financial services for underserved individuals, farmers, and small businesses.

She currently serves as a Non-Executive Independent Director of FINCA Uganda and is Chairperson of the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), as well as a member of the Board Credit Committee and Board IT Committee. Diana also serves on the Board of First Capital Bank Group, where she chairs the Group IT Committee. Her previous board and advisory roles include FINCA DRC, FINCA Malawi, Farmerline, Fairchain and Abler Nordic (formerly Nordic Microfinance Initiative), where she provided strategic oversight on digital transformation, technology, risk, governance, and inclusive finance.
